Thanks for the invite. Is it OK if I have a C2 and C5 too? Guess you could say I have Corvette disease.

9936 '68 coupes. Not exactly rare, but considerably less than convertibles.

68 coupe production was supposed to have been delayed until 1/1/68 due to problems with top fit/sealing. It would be interesting to know the time/build date on this coupe. She also has the LH mirror mounted in the first position.

Nice 68.

Nice 68.

Thanks The build date, as close as I can find it is sometime in January '68. Last digits of the VIN are 411466 if you can pin it down to an exact date.

I'll have some really nice driver quality door handles and rear license plate bezel when I replace mine in a couple of weeks if you would like them.

I got my '68 a couple of months ago and love it!

Time/build code is in the upper right corner of the trim tag. See if you find Gxx there. The G stands for February; xx would be the date your car passed the station on the assembly line where the trim tag was attached. Your car would not have been completely assembled at the time the tag was attached and would probably have needed another day, day and a half, to have been finished.

Corvette Black Book says 11466 would have been a February, 1968 car. Last January VIN was 10386; Last February VIN was 12647.

I'm new to C3's, sorry.

Thanks for helping an old guy.

Hi

So one of the last early 68 cars.

The mirror went further back in around February.

My early March car had the mirror in the aft position.

My Oct 67 car of course in the front.
