After many trouble free years, wiper door quit last week.In 2-3 hours of poking around for obvious causes,I come up empty.Vac.relay is out, when I apply hand pump vac. to unit ,I can see movement at the end of it.I'm thinking it is bad.(original ) Any tests I can perform ?Actuator is new,and door can be opened by hand. Thanks crew...JC
You really can't use one of those hand-operated vacuum pumps to do any 'significant' testing on a C3 vacuum system. It just doesn't provide enough volume (or anti-volume, I guess...) to make anything work. There are usually leakages that exhaust anything that pump might provide...even on good systems.

the hand pump is good for testing individual parts one at a time
,to test the system as a whole, NO the pump does not provide enough vacuum as ststed above, thank you 7T1
