Thought I had mine done...now I see a tiny oil leak coming from the area of the new fuel pump. I doubt if it will ever end....

Maybe the cold weather thickened up the fluids or maybe you have been parking in the garage.

my 80 has dripped power steering fluid since day 1 & i'm getting tired of it.

is the reservoir easy to rebuilt or better to bolt up a new 1 ?

someone told me they all leak, in time...

Pete.

Everything with seals and/or hoses will leak...eventually. Nearly 40 years is pretty much "eventually". But, new hoses and new seals will resolve that problem.

power steering ram leaking here as well.

Was leaking real bad for a while then i drained it and put in some Prestone with leak stop.... actually worked for the most part. Surprised the hell out of me.

Eventually i'll get around to rebuilding it....but it's not high on my list right now..

Mine had a minor leak as well and when I added some fluid, I used PS fluid with a leak stop additive. Damn if my leak didn't stop. The steering needs to be rebuilt, but the new fluid bought me some time.

I heard remanufactured ones often leaks just like the one they're supposed to replace.
I rebuilt mine, fairly easy, this link : http://www.corvette-restoration.com/...mp_rebuild.htm
explain the whole process very precisely.
Got my seal kit on Ebay for 10$ or so.
Way to go IMHO.

That is one thing I will not put up with. Even my tractor doesn't leak anything.
Just drives me nuts....did I say nuts?
Well I have a nice new 365 Foot concrete driveway and not a spot on it...well not yet.

Vettes don't leak, they just mark their spot. I used to own a Harley and that quote naturally transfers.

My Vette blew a power steering line when I pulled in to the parking lot to get a haircut in August. The line leading to my space is still there.

I don't think of them as leaks but drip-feed undercoating systems! If it were not for leaks my 37 year-old chassis and suspension would be a rusty mess.

there's nothing like some properly placed crud to solve all leak issues.my garage has so many spots any new ones tend to improve the look.my tractor doesen't leak either mainly because i dont have one, otherwise it would be leaking.
