Hi,
I saw a pretty nice present for someone who's been VERY good this year.
High horsepower at your local Chevy Store. $37.5k.
Regards,
Alan

That is an SLP 585 car. Unless it has like 50k miles, that price is a steal.

OK, what is an SLP car (showing my age I guess)?

Street legal performance. They are a tuner company. Do great work.

Thanks Gordon,

That's a heck of a batch of HP! Makes my L-48 feel like a go-cart.

That's the nice thing about LS engines. It's pretty easy to get a lot more HP out of them without doing a lot of internal engine work.

Exactly. The target audience for new American muscle isn't exactly doing too well right now. Probably a waiting list for European exotics.

That is a great price for that kind of power in one of those new camaros. I am sure there are others out there that have bought the SS versions with less power and paid more money than that.

I wonder if that price is above the base price of the SS version.

That car is one of 500 made by SLP of Canada. I think it is around 60 grand. I used to work there, I left because I would get like 100 bucks for selling that car. The management there is and has always been very geared towards high performance cars. I spoke with the manager last week on a social call. I told him he must have some really nice stuff in the showroom to leave this car out in the weather!

SS price plus 22 grand for the SLP package. The tag in the passenger side of the windshield lists the final price, after the options were added. 37,500 was the SS sale price before SLP got it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

The hood, front and fender are 3 different shades of gray? And the hood doesn't fit right? WTF?
