I've been lurking for around a decade. Finally bought my first vette today!
73 Stingray, 350/4speed L-82, but the motor doesn't look stock.
Armstrong windows, ttop, turbine wheels, been sitting since 93.
It's rough, but drives. All the pieces are there, and almost everything works. I hope to make it a fun daily driver and toy. Not looking to restore it to stock, but more of a hotrod/fun car.
Congrats! Been sitting since 93 and it moves? Sounds like a great project....I'm jealous. I bought a 1973 project car myself but it was not in running condition.
I should say it hasn't been registered since 93. It's been started and driven pretty regular as a project, but not on the street.
It is from New Mexico. Hardly any rust. Just surface. Nothing rotted through or soft.
I want to gut all the extras off and make it as basic as possible. Remove AC stuff, and simplify the engine bay.
Oh, goody!! It's a 500 piece puzzle and you get to put it together all by yourself (unless Tom Sawyer lives close by). Hey, if you wanted an 'interesting' project, you got one. Looks like fun!!
Looks like a great place to start. I have done a lot of upgrades to my 73 through the years and I love the car. Looks like you will be having lots of fun soon.
