I'm a good mechanic. I can do about anything to a car.
I was just curious what components tear up continually, even after being replaced.
I had a 300hp 350 CJ-7, I never was stranded, but was continually fixing something. And the new A/C was lacking.
My main concern is to have it road worthy. I can fix what comes along with time.
The A/C will be ran with one large compressor like a suburban with rear air.
I need to replace a leaking caliper. I may just replace all four and the soft lines.
I'm rebuilding the Q-jet tomorrow. I'm going to play with it stock for a week or two. And decide from there.
I used mine as a daily driver before I blew the motor and will again when I get the new one in. Other than the usual old car stuff I have not had any real problems. With a new motor, brake pads and that kind of thing I think you will be just fine.
