the way to get the wife on board is to tell her that it could be a boat, or a golfing hobby, or shooting pool in a tavern on friday night, or fishing hobby,or a motor home in which case you will be away from home or losing thousands a year to depreciation or dock fees and all the other money down the drain.
the classic car hobby is basically free, if you buy the right car, and your wife can ride along, or even drive.
My wife sometimes takes some of her hen friends out in my car. she is happy..
PS: See guys.. these cares are actually selling for these high prices!
Brought the car home today... Love it! Wife is coming around slowly...... but I took her for a spin today, and she warmed up. Thanks again for all the insight!
Congrats on the car. At this point forget what everybody else had to say. I happen to have a the same car in red, but mine is a year older.
You will find that the 73 has its own following. The car has come a long way over the past few years.
Just enjoy it and welcome to the hobby.
We all learn a little something on our first purchase. You will hear many opinions, but the guys yammering the most are usually the guys who know the least.
A few of the guys did their best to try to prevent you from paying too much. 73 are very hard to price sometimes.
You will figure it out as time goes by. Just enjoy the car.
Best of luck,
