I finally got to some spring repairs with many parts on the work bench. I have been putting off the work fearing unimagineable roadblock during the repairs. That said, new lower ball joints (3rd in 5 years, not sure what's going on there), replaced with raybestos premium grade. New rear spring bolt kits installed, purchased sawsall, new blades and cut those old stubborn bolts in half. Added a 1/2 inch ride height.
Lastly a simple install, new ignition coil, more get up and go, burning fuel better, idling better and seems to be running cooler, WOW should have done this a while ago.
Next 4 wheel alignment and wheel balance.
Maybe I will repair the e-brakes next, or just enjoy driving for the rest of the summer!
Sounds like you got that list out of the way. While your driving around enjoying your car another list will appear. Its come as one thing then another then you find your self writing it down and now its a new "list".
If your car still uses ignition points, you can't just wire ANY hi-power coil into the system and have it make a significant difference. There is a resistance wire that feeds your coil [with engine running] which limits current flow to the coil (minimizes points 'burn'). Swapping a 'hotter' coil into that same wiring will still limit the current flow to the new coil.
Now, if you have added an electroic ignition system and you changed over that resistance wire to a non-resistance type of wire, the change to a better coil can do you some good.

I always use MOOG chassis parts, when possible. CarQuest sells them.
