Speedo test question
Hey
My speedometer has never worked so I removed the cable from the transmission, I had someone look at the speedo while I ran the drill, the needle shot up a bit but then nothing at all.
Any idea what this could mean? I have never looked at a speedo system before.
When I unscrew the cable from the transmission and remove the nut and Tab how do I get the gear out? Does it just pull out with the brass threaded part?

the cars is a '69 and I think it is the original 4 speed trans. I only got partial codes with me the casing was stamped 3857####### and the was a vertical number P9R08H (unclear picture I took)
One last question what does the large 13 and small 9 stand for below the General Motors Corp
