Actually, when I used that method, the switch was just installed in the 12vdc line going to the coil. No 'juice'...no GO.

I have an aftermarket alarm (Viper) so I considered using my fender mounted key as a dizzy kill switch.....but kinda an overkill...
Still don't know what to do with that switch....!

All kidding aside - I think it's a switch taped to the vent cable. Should be another cable that looks similar and screws into the end.

After examination and removal it turned out to be a disconnected kill switch taped to the cowl vent cable.

My '66 has a toggle switch that really didn't do anything. Then I found that it turned off all rear tail lights.
I wonder why anyone would want to do that????? LOL.
Street racing in the 60's/70's was a great time to be alive.
