My Father is the owner of a 1969 Corvette Stingray L88 Convertible. As far as we know the car is completely original with Matching numbers. How do we go about decoding what the car should have came with and if that is indeed what we have? The car has no power options. We are Canadian and I believe this car came from Missouri.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

The '69 L88 is a very, very rare car. Only about 100 were made. Most were raced, used up, and destroyed forty years ago. Very few survive. That is pretty much the Holy Grail to Corvette fans.
If it is a real '69 L88, start by posting an armed guard around the garage. (I'm only half kidding). To collectors, it could be worth a bunch of money. Be very careful about doing ANYTHING to it that will change the way it was when new. You will probably need a real NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) guy to come and look at it.
Keep us posted.

Hi l82,
I suggest you go to the NCRS site and click to the 'store' tab.
You be able to find the 1968-1969 TECHNICAL INFORMATION MANUAL & JUDGING GUIDE.
This book will be a huge help to you in determining just what your father's 69 is.... or was.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
