Totally offtopic - Ferrari Testarossa

I've rebuilt a few 80's and 90's Ferrari harness and sub harness due to fire damage and botched previous repair work.
They use Magneti Marelli (sp), SIPCA and Bosch connectors.
Marrelli is the Lucas of the Italian car world, and quite a few of these connectors in the body harness are Ferrari only pieces. Must find used.
The engine compartment uses mostly Bosch wiring.

I learned something new - thanks Tom!
Lucas electronics, the dark side
I'm doing a Fiat Spider, and one of the first things I did was completely remove the wiring - it will never return

I've had a 124 before, I think we've discussed in the past.
I built a MegaSquirt FI system for a Alfa Romeo Milano V6 I had. Ran well, got rid of the Bosch and converted to all GM style sensors.
Sadly this TR has CIS injection, so unless it is all stripped out and replaced, going to standalone wont be easy.
The CIS by itself will pose issues, many many failure modes in CIS.

Thanks to everyone for your inputs Will let you know how things will go when I get it in Europe.
PS. Sorry for bumping this back to top all the time, as this is not related to C3 Vettes However, it will share the garage with two C3 big blocks, so I think it is fair to keep it in C3 forum!

Let me start out by letting you know that I myself also bought a handful of cars from that same auction. I actually watched you bid on that car. Let me tell you, you're in for hell. Out of the cars I bought MAYBE half will be repairable. With the majority of these cars the only way to fix them properly is to fine a wrecked one and change over all the electronic bits. As long as the engine was okay before and they didn't drive it into water and leave it running you should be fine on that end. Not one car that I started didn't need AT LEAST a fuse box and starter, I can only imagine how expensive/hard to find that would be for your car (I only bought American/Japanese cars, no German, Italian etc.). Long story short good luck with it, if you have any trouble along the way ill help where I can. I'm still working on mine little by little.

Hi all, just a brief update - my Testarossa is done and ready to go!!!!! I did not want to spam C3 section with offtopic posts, so was not sharing anything so far. Those, who are interested, please have a look at my thread in Ferrari forum.
PS. For skeptics - I've been working on a number of flood cars before, I know what I am up to.

Just few pics from my mobile phone camera. It's raining today, so no videos of driving.

That is so damn cool! Glad it is working out for you. Please post back when you get a video of it going down the road.
But....
What is this?
Guys in Corvette forum told me to park it in my driveway and make all the neighbours jealous. When someone asks, why I never drive it, I would just tell them that Corvettes are more fun. Obviously this is not true
You are not turning into a Ferrari snob are you?
