I had to have every screw very loose in the parking brake console, shifter console, shifter console plate and gauge cluster and spent a lot of frustrating time before it all lined up.
Carpet extends a couple of inches behind the sides. Its pretty stiff so could be a challenge to get enough flex to tuck. I installed my carpet first snd positioned in the kick panel and door sills first, then the console so I could cut excessive material away and it would still be covered by the sides of the console.

And yes.. like we talked about on the phone.. it will relax after the first install, plus you know now the "secret"... LOL..
