Wires in the engine bay on driver side connect to Horn relay are labeled as "resistor Wires", but without buying a complete harness I have not been able to find them. Does anyone know what the values are of the resistors?
What model year? I'm not sure the lugs on the relay are labeled, but there will be no labels on the harness wiring. The assembly instruction manual (AIM) shows the colors and wire gauges which connect to the relay.
Actually, the resistor wire runs from the engine-compartment-side of the fuse block to the ignition coil. That is so that the coil has a current-limiting resistance during normal running.
The wire from the starter solenoid is NOT a resistance wire, so that it gets full 12 volts, and full current, during starting cycle. Once the starter is disengaged, that wiring is no longer being used.
If you have the Transistor Ignition system (stock-available TI unit), there may be more than one resistance wire in the circuit.
