I hear Ya' 'bout the drivetrain. About the front clip....I need the fiberglass repair experience and Derek made some good repair pieces that fit behind the chrome bumper and also fit the grill opening...It'll be fun
Just an update. I'm still assembling the Harley. In case I didn't mention it the Painter made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He is behind schedule on painting the 90's Vette ahead of me.
He will knock $1,000 off my bill if I let him work my car in so he can sand both cars together before paint.
I ACCEPTED. Now I can finish the Harley and remove the fenders/grill opening on the car cap and bring to it my garage to do body work.
Derek...I p.m.'d you.

Finally....I took a break from the Harley and the grarage ceiling install;''Yesterday I spenr about 4 hours heatinf removing thr front clip since some of it was unbonded plus all the cracks and damage to the nose to be repaired. I already had the grill out/about 2 hours work and the headlight assemeblies out/another 2 hours of rust bolts soaked with pb blaster/transmission fluid...….
JUNKY LAPTOP......I JUST LOST 6 PICS...….WILL TRY AGAIN...……..
be funny to put bulbs in those marker lights and see them shining thru the bondo. there are some very good arguments for replacing that whole nose. is that the orig nose modded to rubberbabybuggybumpers, or a 76-ish nose? the era of side markers will help to tell. the side vents. were they orig-looking 76 holes or was the 76 style glassed in to the 68 fenders?

i did some big repairs on my front nose last couple months, there were some holes and cracks, i repaired them all with fiber glass and vpa, some body adhesive, painted 2 sundays ago, left car in sun last week, started buffing today and i can already see some of the repairs ghosting. something to consider, i was real proud of saving a oem clip but i hope those repairs dont come back any worse
I hear ya........we'll see how the mat works.....the guys say the cloth is too difficult to hide. I used cloth on the tail light clip and since the area was low I covered it with several layers of mat, then filler.

Tony. I have a bunch of pieces that you can use. Basically an entire front clip but it's in pieces. I am sure you can figure a way to get them installed and looking good with what you have. I have a road trip coming up and I can swing by and drop off them. I will take some pictures of what I have. Going to look at another possible project end of week.
ZIO
2 piece headlight section 1 piece headlight section with a mold metal support that gets riveted to nose piece 2 fender tops only which run up to the windshield Also not this one but headlight section still has support on it. All tooo much to mail. See you the end of the week! Donuts?
Tony here's everything I think you may be able to use if needed.
ZIO
You can make a mold or use whatever. Running light areas etc!
Hey ZIO, I was in your area the other day and thought about checking out your projects but realized I didn't have any contact info for you. I'm just down the road in Titusville, would like to check out your projects some time...
Sorry for the interruption, back to your regularly scheduled thread with Tony doing an amazing job...

R.………..I made my decision...…..the piece in the pic below and a brace/bar to rivet to the back-side of it!
It was a tough decision, but I didn't want to be greedy! I can use the trim pieces Derek made a couple years ago to fill in the corners at the chrome grill trim!
