RVZIO here! Thought I would stop by to see how you are doing. In reading sorry to hear about your throat. Car looks great! Hello to all that are following Tony. Miss taking pictures and posting my work. There are so many that I miss talking with as well as following. Sorry to use your post Tony but I was just checking in and saw a few friends asking. In short I really don't post like I used anymore after getting burnt by neighbors. I wanted to keep my posts but that was incriminating evidence for people to use against me instead of helping others. Keep doing what your doing folks all looks great from all the hard work you have all done. See Ya!
Hey,
Glad to see you are still around.
You can always share some photos here and there on your projects..
Hey, D.G. Hang tuff. You got a lot of friends here, as well as around the internet. I'm not a particularly religious guy, but I do believe that things happen(or not) for a reason. You are around to influence or help out someone, somewhere. Likely when you least expect it. Watch for your reason.

You guys bail me out of the P.T.S. every year! I'll keep both eyes pealed.
A little bit of news... I fought off the P.T.S. to install the passenger's door...had to go through 6 unoponed boxes of parts to find the hinge bolts and access covers.....and borrow the motorcycle lift from under the Harley to mount the door on (spine about 40% recovered).
I still didn't mount the door, but I'm 5 hours closer to installing it

I like your idea of using the motorcycle lift to mount the door. I don't have one of those (neither the motorcycle or the lift) so I used a chain hoist and that worked OK, at least for the unmounting. It'll be a while before I reinstall so hopefully that'll work in reverse.
I'm far enough along with the P. therapy that I could make a "door holder" to fit my motorcycle lift. Nothing fancy, but solid to hold a door upright and at the right height to bolt the newly painted door to the hinges on the car...…the lift has a foot-operated hydraulic cylinder which can be easily raised or lowered to align the hinges with the door slotted bolt holes.
Rear view of the wooden door holder.....................
The front view......a thick towel is stapled to the wooden frame to protect the new paint...........
Put tape over the staples, the door might flattened the towel or throw a second towel over the stabled one.
Hey Tony is that tropical storm going to flood your neck of the woods?
I'll go with the second towel !
It looks like it will hit us. If it slows down once it covers Louisiana, that's where the Big Problem begins....too much rain for the creeks and small rivers to handle.
Right now we're having a blue-sky sunny day.

Sunny is nice as long as the humidity is low. Have a great weekend!!!!
Well rain and even the humidity shouldn't stop you from hanging that door DG! Stay focused! And get 'er done! Maybe get excited and do both of 'em! I mean that door holder will hold either door!
Let's hope those rivers stay in their banks, the PT helps you heal and the PTSD doesn't rear its ugly head again so you can get back to making progress again.
That door lift stand sure looks like it'll do the trick. Much better than my strap wrapped around the door and hung from a chain fall...

The storm is still far enough away that we are only getting some wind and bands of rain. But, the PTS is really hammering me.,,,,now I know why some Veterans use drugs and alcohol to numb their minds (PTS-Combat related: all the bad feelings/memories you didn't have time to deal with)
A.T. I'll see what I can do with the door .....thanks for the encouragement.

Well, Paul...."Two outta' three ain't bad!". The stand is solid....I've been testing it with the door on it for two days
As for the PTS, it can last a few weeks or months at a time.
