THANKS OCB !!! We are cautious even though POTUS signed the Letter..kinda like kicking a dogg over and over until he has no hope...but as the ancient Jews say "we hope against hope"!
Translation: We expect nothing and are encouraged when a bone is thrown qto us.
Now for some Project news: you gave me good info just in time.
I attached the passenger hood hinge to the fender/radiator support with 5/16" shims under the hinge.
I thought it would really sit too high above the fender but it didn't.
I will have to buy button-Allen-head bolt because the hex bolts in the pic interfere with the bottom of the hood where the upper arm of the hinge bolte...NO BIGGIE.
Also...the hood is just laying on the tray the insulation attaches to which causes it to be "Off" at he front corner...NO BIGGIE!
Take a look at the pics below

I found about two hours to install the hood hinges, chip the paint on the front radius of the pasenger fender trying to raise the hood, had to lengthen all 4 holes in the hinge to get a little clearance at the radius.....
You are so determined with this. Best thread on here. I haven't done anything, but reading your thread gives me hope to get back to mine sometime soon.

Thanks stingray....the brain trauma from combat is both good and bad.
Good = It won't let me give up.
Bad = Many times I have to rework one area 3-5 times to get it right!
I literally have to force myself to work on the car most days...BUT it's a "FUN" learning experience.
That’s the spirit Tony.
I’ve been having to force myself out into the garage more lately as well.
I spent several hours yesterday making a completely new bracket to bolt my catch can up to the firewall.
I just couldn’t understand how my measurements on the first bracket were so far off that the catch can wouldn’t fit up under the fender as I so carefully planned.
After I painted the second bracket, I compared it to the first one and they were identical in every way.
Then I realized that I had mounted the first bracket to the firewall upside down and that all I needed to do was flip it over and the catch can fit perfect.
I did a little custom weight reducing work to the second bracket so as soon as the paint is totally dry I’ll get it mounted and on to building the braided lines to the valve covers.
All this and I don’t have PTSD.
More Dr. appointments and V.A. stuff. All I had time to do was McGiver a sanding drum to radius the corner where the hood was binding.
Now the hood corner has 3/16" clearance...
