Things are looking good since I last dropped in.! Keep it up. I was at Barrett Jackson today. Going again tomorrow. I live in walking distance to it. Not to steal your post, I took a ride in a "HellCat" today. WOW!! Over 700HP feels great! Was looking at all the eye candy they had. Some nice cars including the Original Herby…
After about 3 weeks of getting very little accomplished it's about time I get in gear tomorrow.......the car has been in the garage lonnnnnnnnng enough!
I think I've put a total of 00.01 miles on the new d/d tires and on the new paint on the hood.........mostly to the end of the driveway and back into the garage a few times!

Told you about elec probs. all grounds good, fusible link looked good, no melt, looked a little harder found connection in splice corroded, hanging on by a few wire strands, hope this explains sporadic start no start condition.
Hope this finds you well

I'm with you.....I hope that's the cause! I managed to work on the Vette project about an hour just to get back in the "groove".
I had a nightmare that my 20 year old son was murdered for no reason.......I woke up an emotional wreck......same re-occurring dream................................... ........................................ ......he was actually murdered 8 years ago.

It takes a couple days to regroup.
Glad you're back, when you don't post I wonder what's up. Don't know you but I'm pulling for you. Good luck
I finally assembled all the inspection panels and bolts/brackets.....the overspray will be taken car of when the doors get new paint and weatherstrip......the color of the sheetmetal is "washed-out" in the photo/it is actually close to the original zinc-chromate color.....
BUT........when I got to the pegboard......I realized that I forgot to refinish the black paint in the recesses of the stainless trim.....so 2 hours later......the stainless needs polishing with some fine steel wool to have an even shine and to remove paint haze....................
Now it's time to run errands for Precious

Exactly! My wife and I are at a restaurant overlooking the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The water is over the natural banks and into the Willow trees. It is lapping at the base of the levee which means it has 26' to go before I have to put the Vette on the roof of our house.....LOL!
I'll try to post a couple pics on the EyePad'........
A tugboat with several barges has come around the bend......
Normally you would be looking at the Willow trees and about 100 yards of land before it dropped off into the river.......the restaurant is elevated about 25 feet above the natural riverbank............
Some storm clouds are coming up from the Gulf of Mexico which is about 80 miles south of here............
Even though we have a 25 foot "cushion" it would take the river about a week to reach the top of the levee........then the floodgates would be opened to fill all the flood plains in southern Louisiana.....WE HOPE!
LOTS! And Louisiana spicey too! Boiled crabs....boiled crawfish...fried catfish....shrimp gumbo...."PeKahn" (pee-can for the northern members) pie.....etc......etc....etc.....etc....e tc.
Was that broken supply wire causing the no-start problem with your car?
So far so good, inside the splice even smelled like cooked wires, almost like a bad ballast burnt out in a light fixture. Ran great on Tuesday. night cruise, next test Sun. For cruise and Wounded Warrior fundraiser, charity events are the only places I will ever pay to get into with my car.
You're making me hungry, time for lunch.
Good luck
