Thanks Men.

A very concerned detective called me last night from San Francisco....

My wife came home from a family trip and thought the S.F. scum looked a lot like our suspect......BUT she said he was much too short to be our suspect.

Well......................I sold my '34 streetrod truck yesterday/not an easy thing to do (PTSD-etc. is limiting my ability to take care of the '34 truck)

BUT....... ......now I have the funds immediately available for the last few items like weatherstripping/CAI/body mount bushings/replace '78 front grill and '78 rear body panels with '68 front and rear fiberglass.

Goodbye old friend...................

ALL old weatherstrip has been removed from car.......

Bubba's grill-work will be replaced...........

with THESE.............................

The engine bay will be redone/the experimental CAI will be upgraded to shiny stuff.....

With this simple/efficient/set-up that Addballer is using on his car.........

THIS will be replaced..........................

With THIS...................................

The top ........................................ ...............

has been refinished and is already collecting dust.........

And it ALL depends on the PTSD going on vacation so I can actually CONCENTRATE

I know you're sorry to see the 34 go but as you said it will allow you the funding to finish off your 68

Sad to see the '34 go. She was a beauty. Happy to see that you have the funds to finish up the corrections on the '68 though. I've still got my contribution to your car sitting on my workbench at home. I keep forgetting to get it cleaned up and sent out for you.

How does that cold air intake work in the rain? I'd be afraid of sucking in a lot of water with it sitting in the wiper area like that. Looks really good though.

Don't take the "patina" off it! The trough area drains well after I dug all the leaves/moss/acorns out of the drain holes.....besides, a mist is good for power and helping the engine run cooler--like on the WWII P51 Mustangs! It's too Bubba even for me.

Thanks nw............

it was a rough few months....111 days "shut down" so far this year

I'm doing "good" the last two weeks.....The V.A. uses the term "Base-line"........which basically means ......a bad day for the average person would be a GOOD day for a veteran.

(That's our Psych lesson for the week LOL)

My wife said "We need to bring the patio chairs to our niece" (Wifey forgot that we sold the truck).

I looked at her and said "The Delivery Service guy retired.....someone else will have to do it!"

Now she keeps asking me "How much longer before it gets painted?"

(Let's see.....replace tail light "clip"/replace front grill "clip"/replace modded fender gills/clean-repaint engine bay/replace body mount bushings/fiberglass-re-gap both door openings........hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......Sept ember------if the PTSD doesn't jerk me around!)

I removed the original firewall harness. The waterproof "grease" that the factory coated the inside of the connector with had dried up and was allowing rain/moisture to soak the terminals between the two halves of the fuse block.

Apparently I forgot to clean/inspect the firewall connector when I replaced the dash harness/fuse block

Back to the garage...............................
