totally dumb question

my 71 has the Rallye wheels and raised white letters.
For some reason, I am reluctant to apply ArmorAll or some other tire foam.
I am afraid it will look cheesy

Now, my 2006 Subaru has blackwalls and I like to shine and gloss them up, but I am not sure on the 71's.
opinions???
anyone wanna tell me I need a life???

If you wanna be real **** about the white lettering, use the Wesleys as per instructions and then hit the tire with your favorite dressing. THEN, using rubber gloves and a small rag, reapply the Wesleys to the raised lettering via the small rag.

For me, Armor-All is the "pits".For interior plastic/vinyl parts, leather, and rubber (including tires and engine compartment hoses) I have used Nu-Vinyl for over 30 years. It is a water-based, polymer product and will dry quickly, leaving a clean satin finish that will last weeks. When applied to clean tires, it leaves the surface looking like new rubber. It also seals the surface so that it won't pick up dirt in the pores of the rubber. And, since it blocks UV rays, it will keep the rubber viable for longer life. It will not peel, flake-off, or yellow with time.
Mequiar's for plastics and other brands make polymer sealants/protectants. They should be used on rubber & plastics...NOT petroleum based products.

)I've been using 303 protectant for tires (dash etc) for years now. Nice satin black look with no greasy residue to attract dust or sling off the tires.

This is a tough one...
