I think Krylon brand original formula #1613 is right on. It''s the right amount of gloss and goes on thin (little build-up in order to cover). It's not easy to find in local stores. Be careful you don't pick up #51613... it's a completely different paint.
People also really like SEM brand semi-flat black, and John Deere 'Blitz' black.

The old 5-ball Krylon formula is now classed as an industrial coating and available through industrial coating outlets. I've seen it on eBay.
