Default Engine brace

I own a 1974 stingray convertible, does any sell an engine brace ? I get a lot of shaking on rough roads, I see they make them for c-5 & c-6.

You have frame/birdcage issues. Not something that can be fixed with an 'engine brace'.

Thank's mike, I knew it was probably a frame issue, when the car is up on a hoist the doors can't be opened because of frame flexing. Old school design 40 year's ago. Gary Ennis

Design isn't your problem. Sounds like age and possibly rust are your problems.

Hi g,
Have you checked to see if the under-dash braces are in place?
Often what people feel at railroad tracks is 'cowl shake'. The braces were added to help, but not cure, that problem.
Regards,
Alan

also convertibles due to their lack of roof support and structure are just kind of rickidy. coupes are much more solid.

This indicates a serious frame deterioration issue. Cowl braces have no effect here.
