So I just signed up with NCM Insurance and talking to Adam he is trying to impress upon me that I do not know what I have and how dare I use it as a daily driver (alright he did not say that but He did mention that he would not use the car as a daily driver). So Now I do not know what to think and what to do, I am going to call NCRS and get there opinion on this.

So, the insurance man doesn't want you to drive the car, just pay the premium?
The question would be, is he trying to minimize his risk, or looking out for you?

Hi Jack,
Having such an early car may be unusual and would be interesting to look at carefully…. but…. I'm not sure if that means you shouldn't drive it!
Regards,
Alan

What is your time/build date? #3 would have been first day of production. It is also possible that it was a pilot line car.

Not sure about the time/build date.

The Trim tag shows August 68 and the #3 goes along with that as well.

Where would I look for more information.

It's in the upper right corner of the trim tag. Code should be A for August and two numbers for the day of the month.

Not a very good Picture.

I am trying to look it up but every site I show does not show anything for August 68.

Not sure how to decode this.

Now the PO did say this was not a number matching car.

Still a pretty cool VIN and a real conversation piece at cruise nights. Let's see some pictures of her.

Early 69, who knows where 1 and 2 are, that's probably why Adam said that. You might have the earliest 69 in existence. Sure its a NOM, but that's the thrill of the hunt. Did you ask the PO about the original block? Is there still a tank sticker on it?

I agree with driving the car however you like - cool that it's an early car, but if there's no special GM purpose attached to it, it's just another '69. Although daily driving a c3 corvette with limited safety features on today's roads full of drivers on their phones, most all who can stop faster than you, would scare me a little.
