I have noticed that when I got my 77 out this spring, there seems to be many more little dots or bumps on the surface of the paint, actually it is under the surface. There was some last year but there seems to be more. Does anyone know what these are?
Did you store it under a car cover? I puta car cover on mine last summer when it rained for the better part of three weeks and notices small zit like bumps on different parts of the car.Evidently the car got damp from the humidity and being covered with a non leak cover held the dampness in causing the dots.

That is exactly what I have, and yes I did store the car in the garage over the winter with a cheap cover on it to keep the dust off...... Are these spots permanent?
If you stored your car in a garage with a as you say cheap cover. As long as the car wasn't exposed to rain and such and there isn't a huge moisture problem like a leaky roof , Then I don't think that may be your cause. I have been storing cars with light covers indoor for years just to keep the dust off and never a problem. My experience has shown me that a car that lives outdoors and is always covered is going to develop paint problems faster than a car that doesn't wear one at all. Moisture is the problem even if the cover is leakproof it still radiated from the ground and gets trapped in the cover. Just my 02 cent.

If the car was recently repainted, they could be volatile gas bubbles under the paint. (due to not getting all volatiles off surface and/or out of the fiberglass before shooting it) I really hope that's not your problem.
Your getting blisters in the paint. That is either the primer lifting off the glass or the paint lifting off the primer. Either way, if the blister does shrink the bond between the materials has already been broke and eventually the paint will fail. Sorry for the bad news. If you take this to the paint/body section DUB will probably chime in, still won't like the end result.

Thanks for the input everyone...... I have only had the car a year, and I think it was painted some time ago. I hope the paint doesn't fall right off the car.
My car was outside with a waterproof cover on it. The dots are not all over the car but are grouped in small areas. As a matter of fact, if your not looking for them, they are kind of hard to notice. I will drive it through the summer and fall then strip it and have it painted. I believe this is the only way to get rid of them.
