Default batery location

has anyone moved their battery on a C-3 (74) from the inside to engine compartment, if so how hard is that to do?

Hi rol,
Where in the engine compartment is there a place big enough to put it?
Regards,
Alan

Lol... And some other car owners sometimes move their batteries to the trunks to clean up the engine bay... ;-)

I'm sure you could get creative... But ultimately for what benefit? Just curious...

The battery behind the seat can be a pain to get to, but having it there probably helps with the relatively even front to rear weight distribution. Also, I don't know where it would fit under the hood.

Just wondering if anyone had done , just for safety reasons heard of some battery's blowing up in the past I don't plan on doing it just asking

I've thought about moving the vacuum tank to above the muffler (either side) and moving the battery to where the vacuum tank was. My reasoning is that I'd rather have that battery compartment for storing stuff.

I moved mine on my 73. I replaced the a/c system with the vintage air so by removing the heater core, fan and other systems I had room to place the battery between the wheel well and the fire wall on the passenger side. I used the battery compartment behind the sear for sub-woofer.
