Yeah, I know what it means. This might be my first Vette but its not my first rodeo. But it is my first corvette. I'm really looking for some assistance on the little ideosecrencies of the C3 corvette. Just want to make sure I'm getting what I pay for and most important I'm not paying for something I shouldn't be.
I certainly appreciate everyone's feedback to this point and look forward to more.
Regards - B
If you buy the car, welcome to the '71 Brands Hatch Green/Green club.
Look at 'My Corvette Photos' if you want to see other '71 BHG pictures. I personally like the 350 4 speed Coupe over the BB 4 speed Convertible.
Would be nice to see some more pictures of the car....engine, rear, front, etc.
Hi HB,
Still not much to be seen in those under car pics.
The exterior pictures appear to show a nice looking car for $18k.
How about one of the engine compartment?
Looking at the engine compartment can tell quite a bit about how a car has been maintained. For instance, whether it's been maintained with service replacement parts or auto store parts.
The fact that the dealer has gotten involved in selling it seems to me to mean they believe it's a decent car that's not going to come back to haunt them.
Regards,
Alan

Here are some pics from my '71 couple that show a couple of the areas that Alan is referring to. If you can upload pictures of these areas, the forum members can assess the rust concerns for you.
Here's one from the front underside of the car. I appreciate the tips on where to look for rust. The car is about 3 hours away from me so I have a little windshield time to get some more photos. I'm trying to get the dealer to take a few for me as well.
I have one more coming but not sure if it'll show you much.
Thanks again guys. Sure do appreciate all the feedback.

Good luck.
Love the ride! Very cool! I especially dig the chrome side pipes! It shines like new money!!
If any of you know of a club member who might be willing to help with an on site assessment please feel free to pass my info along. I can meet them in Champaign, Il to take a better look at the car.
Hi BH,
This looks to be quite a nice untouched car.
For some people that is a wonderful thing. Originality makes certain people interested in Corvettes very excited.
For someone that wants to have a dependable car they can drive whenever, and wherever, they want, this car will likely need to be checked out carefully and obvious things that need attention attended to. Then, as it's driven, more small items may show themselves.
I'll send you a PM with a name of someone in Illinois that may be able to help you look at the car.
Regards,
Alan
