Default Looking for some ideas.

Can you post some pictures how you routed your plug wires. Not interested and routing them under the headers or manifold. Looking for something over the valve covers or around the valve covers. Thanks

This configuration has worked well for four years. You have to measure, cut, strip, and add appropriate brass ends/boots to the wires. Takes a couple of hours. The metal looms require longer valve cover bolts to get things away from the manifolds. But that is Home Depot cheap.

The wires are in order 1/3/5/7......... ........so I can remove them from the plugs in a hurry and re-install them in a hurry!

Pretty much the same. It can get a little tricky on the A/C compressor side but I worked around that. If you have the right tools to cut and crimp wires, along with brass fittings and rubber boots, you can do pretty much anything to fit. Yes, it can take some time but not much longer than struggling with the OEM underneath looms and heat shields.

Universal MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires cut to fit alongside the valve covers in R&M Specialties #1101P looms. You would need to pick the wire set based on your distributor cap type. These are what I used:

Yes, I do use an MSD 6AL box. It is mounted to the back side of the passenger side wheel well. In this picture, you can just barely see it.

What year do you have in a Corvette.

On the big blocks it is easy to perform the aligned down the valve covers but the Small Blocks have different Manifolds which angle upwards so they have to run underneath since the plug wires will rub on the manifold when attempting to plug them in and the angled wires will not work. Custom wires with straight in and not angles can be run over the top of the exhaust manifolds but require long brackets coming off the Valve Cover Bolts can be used even if you are running headers than you can run them from the top.

Not going to re-quote the picture, but there's a lot of nice to look at in
that engine compartment there 7t2 (post #6)

I've got nothing to help this thread since mines a BB (Taylor vertical looms BTW) but Bruce's attention to detail needs to be commended now and again

I have these same wire looms. It makes a nice neat setup with hiding the wires.

Not so fast...

The engine that came in my car...

The 454 and one plug wire is from the old engine because I left the good wire melt on a header and still wanted to cruise so the old wires were laying in a junk heep and...
This thread is cool...I need to run my new wires on my bb with some artful attention to fuction, I run hooker headers and hei....any suggestions which wires to buy?
