Hey Jack, that stinks. Hopefully the 2 weeks will fly by.

Default Two Weeks

Well two weeks have gone by and I visited my car, its looking good they are done with the fiberglass prep work on the car working on finishing up the doors now. The doors are going to look great they removed all the bondo work from the last owner along the bottom of the doors and they have patched up a couple of minor problems with the inside of the doors, I am very impressed with the work and quality from this shop. Car should be ready for first coat of primer end of next week so if I am able to go see the car in two weeks we should be seeing lots of changes. The Re-cored radiator is in looks new.

Default Fiberglass work

You can see the work that they did along the rear of the door the last owner had cardboard set between some fiberglass for this edge the repair looks great, they did some work in the battery well cleaning up some old repairs and making them solid. You can tell there was work done here but since she is only a driver I am going for structural integrity over perfection.

I was able to swing by the shop this morning and drop off all the bumpers they wanted to make sure they fit correctly when they are tightened down. Getting excited even though it will be about 6 months before I get the car licensed.

Default Visit

Went for a visit and to talk to the shop owner and took a look at my car, she is looking good and if everything keeps on track in two weeks she will be white and all the badges will be on and the bumpers as well. In a month or two she will be back in my possession so I can then replace the wiring, Vacuum lines and Fiberoptic cable and install the interior by April she should be ready to roll.

Looks real nice what you have done so far. I am looking at the way you covered the engine compartment and interior. I need to do the same for body work dust and priming. Nice job.

I would love to take credit for the work but the only thing I am providing is $$$$$$$, and that's on a scale of $ - $$$$$.

Jack.

It's what another member said a couple years ago......Money, time, and dedication go into a project.....with dedication, ways can be found to "work around" money and time.

My PTSD overwhelms me psychologically causing months of delays, but I have stretched my $20,000 funds about 30% by "hitting great discounts" and finding needed parts in the "For Sale Forum" at great prices during the long delays. There is no price that I can put on the advice of Forum members.

So.....YOU are building YOUR car the way that you are able to do it!

Default Two Weeks

Another two weeks have gone by and I am canceling my scheduled visit with my car. They have not been able to get to painting the car, it's okay I was just hoping to see her all in white.

On a positive note the new transmission is at the shop ready to be installed.

Jack.
