New Heater core and refurbished heater box. Next week the interior gets new stain and the re-assembly of the interior starts. A couple of before and after pictures of the dash.

Default Today's Visit

I swung by the shop to drop off the top and convertible frame, the car is looking good powder coated rims new tires rebuilt brakes re-built power steering and some more chrome added as well as some additional heat shield installation inside the car. They have not started staining the interior but it looks like that should be soon. I figure they have two months, three on the outside before I really get itchy to drive the car.

Default Update

Not much to mention it has only been a week, the dash pad is in and the rear storage area carpet is installed the rear storage compartments doors are being installed today and the vacuum lines have mostly been replaced with the new set I bought. Things are moving along only a month until she is legal to drive since she will have Expanded Antique plates.

Yes they did a lot, you just never can see all the work that was actually done. Should have taken pictures but I did such a quick drive by I forgot.

Default Not much Done

Went to visit the car today, they have not done anything in two weeks understandable since the Owner passed away about a week ago now and the Wife is keeping the shop open but has not yet caught up with the books so my car sits. The only blessing is they want my car out of their shop as much as I want to drive my car away from he shop, they need the room to bring in the cars that are waiting for spring service.

Default Waiting with a positive note

Well not much has happened to my car but I am not surprised or upset about that with all that has happened at the shop. I walked in today just at the right time, they have a couple of people who are advising the shop on how to proceed and with them there we were able to go over the car and what needed to be done in order to finish her up. They are estimating less than 40 hours of work to finish so with all the other things that happen they are thinking two weeks (I am thinking four weeks in corvette time). The shop needs my car out of the way so they can bring in the spring tune ups and all the little spring maintenance that they have scheduled. The main mechanic is good I hope he is able to figure out how to juggle multiple projects and the billing and every other little thing it takes to run a business because he is talented enough to repair and maintain these cars and it would be a sad day for the corvette community to loose another corvette only shop.
