Default Radio mic

Went and saw the car today it is coming along hopefully two more weeks and I will drive her home. I am installing an aftermarket modern radio that looks like the original and the shop asked where I wanted the mic mounted. Not knowing and having a convertible I told them to just leave it under the dash for now.

Does anyone have a good location for the mic? Can you even use it in a convertible with the top down?

Mine is mounted to my steering column. I haven't tried it with the top down. People say they can hear the side pipes. Good for short calls I guess

A couple of years of patience, she will be done soon and I will be driving her everywhere.

Thanks

Thanks, I am getting excited just picked up my temp plates my vanity plates will be two weeks. Hoping to have the car home by then but what I told my son is looking to come true, Shop tells you two weeks you need to think four weeks after the two weeks is up the shop tells you two more weeks you need to think three more weeks. Just part of the experience.

Very true! As another member said..........."If they told us the truth on Day 1, we'd say NO THANKS and take our car somewhere else in hopes the work would be done on time".

On time is not the important part, done well is the important part. The car is looking really good the only thing keeping me sane is the weather up here I think we hit 40 today but it was a nice 40 I was outside with only a sweatshirt most of the day.

Default Two Weeks

Okay got the two weeks again. Just have to laugh but I think the car will be really close to being done in two weeks. Not sure how to attach a MP4 file or even if it can be done.

She is running for the first time in almost two years, a little rough right now but they are working on tuning her up. She sounds really good getting very excited.

Jack.

Beautiful family picture, thank your son for his service, while we enjoy our Corvettes under their protection.
I'm glad the car is coming together for you. The weather has been off and on by us so that makes living without the ride abit easier. We will attend the "Monday Night Car Shows" in Niles, at the Old Orchard shopping mall. It is on Memorial Day, it is a fantastic show, easy 150-200+ cars usually in attendance. That would be a nice show to bring your new ride to!
Hoping all goes well
