Default 1972 silver convertible

Hey, looking into possibly buying a 72 silver with black interior stingray with two tops all original 350 with 4 spd manual. I am a little premature with the full details like mileage and options, but assuming low miles, I know it's all original, what would something like this go for. Guy is apparently asking $25k. My father in law just told me about this car that is being sold due to a divorce. Just looking to see what the price range for these are.

Base engine or LT-1? You really need to provide more details or pics. For all you know the car could have been pieced together from eight different cars.

With zero details, a 72 350 conv. could be worth from $10k - $40k.

Hi Steve,
I'm sure it's pretty exciting for you to hear about an old Corvette for sale.
If it is in fact, "all original", it's worth a LOT of money!
The chance of it being, "all original", is very, very, very, SMALL.
Based on what you've posted, Revi is right on with his requirement for more information, and his price range. I might even widen his range from $5,000 to $50,000!
People here are always interested in learning more about these cars that turn up unexpectedly.
Regards,
Alan

Very very few cars are 'all original' and ever fewer potential buyers would want one. Most of them look like they've got 40+ years of wear and tear on them.

The car might be 'restored' to one degree or another but not likely it's original.
