Don't get me wrong... the 1975-1979 Vettes are still great cars... But I personally prefer the 1980-1982 models...

I hope when you look at vette you do so without blinders on,
I once read in a car rag that when going to look at a car you are thinking of buying take a car savvy buddy with you but one who doesn't care about the car you are looking at,
I had a buddy do that with me, had me look at a Mustang he wanted he was all dreamy and starry eyed about the car, I showed him the extent of rust he said he otherwise wouldn't have paid attention to,
At first he thought he missed a great car, later on he calls it dodging a bullet...

congrats! glad this arguing didn't scare you off, there's too much of that on this forum unfortunately, but the wealth of info here makes it worth putting up with.

btw, I brought my first vette home dec. 26th in a blizzard. drove the C4 from indiana to Michigan scared as sh---t! but it was worth it. I think I washed it every day for a month in the garage waiting for nice enough weather to drive it (tough to do in MI winters).

anyway, good luck with it and please post pics and details!

Suggest a new thread for the new car, but will you put a note on this thread so it emails those of us following along so we can see the new toy! Plus we can see all the goodies you add on over time.

Sorry for the upcoming loss to your wallet....err....ahhh....I mean congratulations on your first corvette!

Sorry for the upcoming loss to your walletNO Problemo....fortunately I can afford it...just don't ever make any quick/sight-unseen/take it for granted decisions!!....err....ahhh....I mean congratulations on your first corvette!
All I had a chance to do to it today was use plain water to rinse of the road residue from haulin' an open UHaul auto transport 150 miles, and it looks a lot better already...I'm anxious to get pics posted for everyone's honest scrutiny.....I feel purdy confident I've made a good investment....whether I keep it or .....whatever!

Gun Lake area, midway between GR and Kazoo. I'll try and see if I can fix/update my gallery. this forum has had lots of quirks over the years and I haven't kept up on keeping stuff up to date. (forums that take so long to load and are full of ads bug me...and don't get me started on the guy constantly hawking the glass cleaning cloths )
