The one I just installed is not convex. I guess you could find any aftermarket that would work but for the identical mount, I haven't seen anything different.

I still believe that a right mirror is needed in most cases. Too many times have I gotten into my wife's car and thought I was turning the headlights on, when the wipers activated. We are creatures of habit and if my habit is to check a right hand mirror, then it's needed.

P.S. I have yet to see a 'correct' right-side mirror with a convex reflector. If one were available, I'd be the first in line.
I hate convex mirrors. They came stock on my new Harley and I took them off the first day and replaced them with the old style flat glass mirrors. I like to know how close cars actually are when I'm changing lanes , especially when I'm on a motorcycle.

A motorcycle is an entirely different animal. Because you are sitting close to the mirror on a motorcycle it's comparable to the driver's side mirror in your car, which is not convex.

Your view out of a passenger side planar mirror is extremely limited. If safety is really a concern it would be nice if someone marketed a convex option.

I do both and have never had an accident in 51 years of driving. You should never just rely on your mirrors.

Kind of beating a dead horse, but I too subscribe to the added safety of a rh mirror. My dd is a 5th gen camaro, people complain about that cars blind spot due to it's styling. They must have never driven old corvettes.
Ck mirrors, swivel head, look before you leap. Yes my restored 72 has a rh mirror added.
