Bob, you could try making a mold off the center lower valance panel. It was pretty simple and didn't take long. It allows you to have a small repair to fill in the remaining hole. You can also get a good alignment.
Check it out:

the body flanges run about $50. each so making them is cost effective. When you make the flanges they are then reversed right becomes left and so on. Just trying to help you or the person doing the body work.

Dude, We are totally on the same page. I asked you about it when I saw you did it. If you look at the pictures you can see the wax from where I pulled the mold. Its been passed on to the body man to work, it was a great tip.
Drivers Fender off and fit in place. I wanted to only do one at a time as I had cut so much out of the floor to fit the SRIII Chassis and wheel tubs.
Off with the left fender. I cut along the line at the bottom of the bonding strip, and was able to grind down the stock fender to the bonding strip - essentially re-using the bonding strip.

Boom. Fender is in place.
Seam inside the door.
Very cool with the flanges. The fender looks good.Things are moving along pretty good. Go man go! Soon yuo'll have to post for those who don't remember what you started with.
"Slowly I turned.....step by step......" and BAMMM.....a CAR!
Definitely a turning point... parts going ON instead of OFF.
Fender in place and temporarily held with screws.
fitment on the corner
The replacement Taillight Panel!
I ordered a replacement Taillight Panel from SoCal Vettes A forum sponsor and an all around great Company. Steve has been helping me with parts throughout the project - and probably the biggest help has been in taking extra parts I had from the donor cars as a trade.

That looks like a really clean piece. I agree with you on working with Steve. He was the one who sent me the T Top center piece for me to use with the windshield surround.

Beautiful! Looks better than new!
I am lucky having Steve so close. I can save on shipping by just heading over there. I have been working on a list the last few months slowly and will be placing an order here soon, and visiting his shop will be one of my first stops when I get back to the states!
The panel wasn't perfect - but it was just as advertised and certainly better than the one I had!
Some damage was expected - after all its a used salvage part.
It fits beautifully with mo original lower valance.
Rear of the part looks good too!
Still working on getting caught up to present day on pictures. Sorry for spreading it all out - it takes forever for the pictures to load - if they load at all.
It's all good Bob, panel still doesn't look bad and the back valance will be perfect for making the flanges. Maybe Steve has a busted one where you can just cut to size. Whatever all good!
Here are the latest pictures. Inside of the fender and taillight install. The Fiberglass guy is a little messier than I would have been on the inside, but that's ok, nothing a little sanding won't clean up. He was back to work the last few days, hopefully I will be getting some more pictures soon.
Tying Taillight panel to fender
I don't like the look of those air bubbles either.
Looking good from the outside.
More Air Bubbles.
You are all now caught up to the present day. I will try to keep you updated as I get updates.
Mention it to him/Put it on a "punch list" rather than having to bring the subject(s) up over and over. He could remove/repair the area with air bubbles in 30 minutes.....I had the same problem with a similar repair.
