Bob's 1969 Resto-Mod Build Thread

I have had my heart set on a set of C6 Z06 brakes for this project for years, and I had finally saved the money to buy them. (The project is going at the pace of my budget)
I found a used set on a Facebook Marketplace (Its a closed group for Corvettes and Corvette Parts) for $750 without rotors (A new set with rotors is $2100-$2200) So I jumped on the deal. I paid with paypal, and as soon as the payment cleared, the seller stopped replying to messages or emails, and the tracking number was for a package to Michigan (I gave a shipping address in Ca)
So I have disputed the charge with PayPal, I guess we will see how long this goes.
This after my CC was defrauded two months ago, and I am still trying to get my bank to reimburse me for that.

Last time I use a Facebook group to try to buy parts.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Now that I am home and I have some time off, I hope to make some good progress on the Vette over the next month. I have already made some progress in the last few days since arriving home. I will also be preparing to move, so I am going to focus on getting a full and complete inventory of all my parts, which I am embarrassed to say has eluded me up to this point in the project.

Now back to our our regular scheduled corvette restoration show...

I figured since it was out, ans since the "batwing" C5 LS1 pan doesn't fit on many conversions, and mine was damaged and fixed with JB Weld
I would drop on a "Hot Rod" Oil pan from GM. In preparation for this phase I picked up a valley mounted lifter plate and a set of stands to rest the motor on while I bolt on the trans.
Then I got all the parts laid out:
I also picked up a set of LS Exhaust flanges with a 1 7/8 exit for use with my Hooker Headers, when I get to that portion of the build.
Seeing as I cant seem to work on only one project a time, my Harley is up on my neighbor's bike lift getting a cosmetic overhaul and a tune up. Hopefully we get it running by next week. I am thinking of selling if anyone is interested.

I got the motor rotated on the stand, and the lower bolts I was using to support the motor to the stand were into the oil pan, so I had to support the motor with a jack while swapping oil pans.
Slightly redneck.
