Boy, I don't even have the patience to do that. And I certainly hope I'm done cutting up cars. Though I've always had an inkling to make a PT Cruiser into a pickup truck. Did it with a model and it came out great.
Jeff, I just ran across this thread. Amazing work!!!
We met at my house a coupe of years ago when you first bought your C6 and I remembered you telling me you had a yellow C3, but I had no idea you made a vert out of a couple. Really fantastic.
For me it is a waste of a good coup. WHY do this when you can go find a convertible a convertible. If you are looking for $$$ down the line you just screwed up your chances. There were a lot of guys that took the 63 split window and removed the split and lost their asses and ended up with nothing, because the vin said SPLIT but it wasn't. You got the same.. sorry bud but my opinion and yes i know what opinion's are
Best guarantee you wont lose money with the car hobby is not to buy one in the first place.
I couldnt enjoy this hobby if resale was always a worry...not everyone is a purist, see that mostly on forums.
Tomorrows buyers dont even want a drivers license I doubt they are gonna worry about a C3.
Anyways, nice work that takes a lot of talent.
Just retired in September and I am surfing every day.
Lucky you!! Used to be at Zuma or Ventura st beach every single morning for years.

I'm not looking for money down the line. I did modifications to make me happy, and it makes me happy. It would never have been worth a bunch anyway, it has a one piece front end, only paid $900 for it back in '05. Yes you're entitled to your opinion, but I
never asked for it.

Looks to me like he saved a C3 that was probably going to end up in a scrap yard.
Damn Sam, how could you say something so shitty to a man with great craftsmanship? I prefer coupes myself but he did a HELL of a nice job making HIS car what he wanted. Big thumbs up here!

ANYBODY can restore a car..... but it takes a real man to cut one up!
