Hi; A simple job of replacing the lock cylinders and door handles on my '73 has me frustrated. All the search post say "reach in and snap on the clip, easy". I can't get my hand anywhere near where the clip needs to be even after lowering the latch , the handles were easy. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Having eye surgery on Thursday so would like to get this cylinder in tomorrow night if possible, don't know when I will be able to attack it again . Thanks.
Finally got it in. shoved my hand in the opening leaving some skin on the sharp edges, got it started then used a big screwdriver to snap it I place. The new clip is not very flexible and was tough to snap in. Thanks for all the response.

Glad you got it!
I do know that in some lock cylinder kits...the companies actually provide the WRONG clip....and they look nothing like what is shown in the photos above. The clip is a cheesy silver clip that is more like the clip used to hold the fresh air breather element in the side of an air cleaner. TYPICAL 'bean counter' getting involved in something they should not.
