Lose Yourself in This 1971 Corvette LT1's Timeless Beauty
The 1971 Corvette LT1 350 featured on this episode of "Muscle Car of the Week" is a definite eye-catcher.

Don't need to.....I already have one (less the LT-1 engine).

Nice video. Always have loved the early C3s and LT1s in particular. I would submit that Bridgehampton Blue was a reference to the race track which was then located on what is now an upscale community/golf course.

From any view the 68-72 Corvettes are just plain beautiful. There are faster, better handling, more valuable etc. etc. Vettes but none come close to the beauty of these cars. While I love the MidYears and modern Vettes, to me the early C3 is the greatest of them all.

Very well said! I LOVE our 71.... (even if it is just a no-frills base model!)

I miss my LT-1. More than that, I miss being a young man, with a good job, dating some seriously pretty women while driving an almost new Corvette LT-1.
Just glad I married one of those ladies.

My dad had the identical color 4 speed he bought new and also a 69 427 L36 he bought in 1971. We sold the LT1 about 9 years ago after he passed away. It was a collector car NCRS survivor with about 40,000 miles on it. My son and I like to drive our cars and I could not justify risking this one on the street or long road trip so, sold it to a collector who was delighted to add it to his collection . I am glad its in good hands and will be preserved. AS for the red 69, it too is a survivor but not as clean and with more miles. Still original paint, interior, engine, 4 speed trans etc but rougher. We have driven it several times from Chicago to Santa Monica on route 66. My son is now the owner and I updated the LT-1 to a 2015 Z06/Z07 in laguna blue for my self and to pass on. Great road trip car! The 71 IMO was by far a better car as far as build and refinements but something about the old BBC's in a vette that I always liked. We feel very lucky we had the experience of owning these cars and my dad had a blast with them. I didn't get to drive them back then, I was 16 and a poor prospect for safety at the time!!!

I have put zero miles on my 71 LT-1 as it remains unregistered and unchecked for road worthiness. Another 3 to 4 weeks then should be good to go..
