Hi people,
My partner is becoming concerned that there are no head supports in the seats. Has anyone solved this issue? Can it be done with the original seats?

Model year? For 68 and 69, headrests were optional, although all 69 coupes were supposed to have them. Beginning with the 1970 model year, high back seats were introduced which incorporated headrests.

Hi doug,
I think I'm a pretty serious person….but worrying about head supports???
After you figure out how to get your partner headrests…have they NOTICED yet that there are no air-bags?
Regards,
Alan
If you have stock seats in your 81, you have high back buckets which incorporate a head restraint in the seat back.
Sit down and move your head back. At some point, it's going to bump the seat. Have your partner do the same.
Yep, done that.
Back of the seat casing presses on skull. She feels it would act like taking top off an egg if head hit it hard. I want her to feel good about passengering, hence .. queries.

Hans Device!
Dont mention airbags or side impact etc etc .... Headrest issue solved = happy passenger.
Go with c5 seats, need to make a slight mod to the seat tracks but they fit right in and she will be happy.
