Styling is not that bad, but that thing is rough. I think if they paid me $3k I'd haul it to the scrap yard for them.

Camaro Front, Sportwagon rear.. popular in the 70s.. can t see how bad the inside is. could be turned into a nice car but it will require much $$$$

Looks like a 68 Mustang fastback roof fell onto it, and got stuck. This poor thing was "rode hard, and put away wet"

I don't see "Camaro " in the front or "sport wagon" in the rear what I see is a poor c3 that at one time was a stunning custom that was dumped in a lake and dragged out last week,

The rear looks like it is inspired by the AC Cobra coupe,

So why not run with that look and run the Datsun headlights,

sadly this is a car that I do not see even 500.00 in the fiberglass much less the rusted out metal....
The rear might could be saved and stuck on a cool resto mod build.

Ad title says "Motion show car," text never mentions Motion again.

Another case of Buyer Be Very Aware.

I missed that, I recall spewing about every other custom vette I was seeing listed was a "motion" car people were posting them right and left here thinking they had hit the lotto, I said there are so many more motion cars now than motion ever built,
And that one cat chimed in, if you have the $$$ your custom is a motion....
At the very least you get a poster...

It looks like the rust has rust. Cost a bundle to bring that one back to life. Might not even be a suitable parts car.

We can debate the styling and design to death.....hate it......like it.....but we can't argue about the condition. It's junk!

a person likes it, hates it..no debate there.
So the seller has other vettes they likely know it's junk or are clueless,
What do you think will happen to it, I really do not see usable parts, the wheels? even the fiberglass is pretty bad off, take a gander around the rear window is that rust from a metal panel glassed in?

Some guys here have worked really hard and saved metal that looked this bad but

actually the "sportswagon" was dominated by the better looking greenwood then ecklers version, those two were the ones that make up 98% and most not all on the link you posted the rest were the prototype show cars, you know this since you had a shop in the day,

I have seen modded sportwagons but one could tell which "kit" the builder used,

However, the car in this thread really isn't a "sportwagon" in my eyes,
but we hopefully can agree What we call it is nothing but semantics,

If you have built a car with a rear like this or seen one please do include a picture, the more I look at this car the more one off it is starting to look, I would love to add to my collection pictures of a vette wagon that wasn't greenwood, ecklers or proto type based, you know a custom one off.

Look around the window it sure gives the effect that is a metal framed window glassed in back there

I sold my shop in the 90s... I have boxes of pics of all sorts of custom stuff we did , in storage somewhere.. If I get a chance to look , I can post some.. We did Greenwood Daytona Kits, Conversion from 64 Convertible to a split window, t-top to convertible, we did Sportwagons, Makos tilt fronts, we did almost every thing Ecklers sold in the 70s and 80s.. and a multitude of custom paints...candies, pearls, fades, flips, mulit-color.. you name it, we did it.. on C2s C3s C4s Panteras... People would come in with crazy wild ideas... we would get it on paper first.. then make it happen ... By the Way, Ecklers built 12 "SPORTWAGONS" in the 70s [ displayed at their Titusville plant and catalog as Sportwagon] themselves ,but ALL had windows...regardless what you call them, that's what the OP car was supposed to be.. The front was also marketed by Ecklers back then as " camaro" ,,,

I don't consider this threads car a typical sportwagon if you do okay, you might even consider the mako rear a sportswagon,

I grew up in Orlando, ralphs son would hang at my night club, used to hang over there a lot, I bought their last turbo wide body until it was rereleased,

While eckler did offer several clips with headlights in the grill they didn't do the one in this thread unless a builder modded it from a ecklers original, which could have happened people like korky modded parts and I have pictures of all kinds of modded makos.

If you have packed away an ecklers catalog showing a front clip they call "Camaro" please post it my old catalogs do not show such,

Of course others like brunos did sell different front clips to ecklers,
mako front tilt, that was invented by silva made famous by motion, silva sold all kinds of c2 c3 clips and bumpers crazy stuff like the c2 Riviera have a mako in my carriage house, with flares and all kinds of other weird parts...
I recall the fellow down south trying to convince me his dad invented the mako kit, I asked was your dad "john silva" ?

Here is my car at the shop with the first mako front clip from the mold sitting on it,

being I am building a convertible I sold my mako rear clip, here is my car with the mold made from my mako clip, the mold was sit on my car for fun,

Personally I'd be more interested in the Crosley station wagon behind the fence.
