Default 73 project I had to have ,modified

lots of curves in the road called life. Absolutely had been missing my past c3 and c5 Corvettes. I get a call from a friend and makes me a deal I could not refuse. 1973 stalled project. New zz4 engine, rebuilt 700r4, rebuilt center section and all corresponding axles, brakes etc etc. Still needs a lot. Headers only it sounds wonderful.
Now I have to develop a plan of attack. Too easy to go at all of it and get nothing done.

First thing I would do is remove the flares, could be a nice car again. But to each his own.

Great start having a good engine/drivetrain/brakes.

Are you keeping the rear flares?

It came with large rims. I will try some tire sizes and see how it looks. I like the front flares. I think I want to reduce but still keep the rear flares.

Oh yaaaaaa!!!! I would go the replica racer route. If the flares a done well, then all you need is the big rubber and a cool paint job. The lights are out so you can drop in the racng light buckets. Good luck

Cool project!! I think the flares look great. People may be turned off by them because of the skinny tires under them, but fill them up with some wide meats and it will look sweet! Looking forward to the progress on this one.

I agree, keep the flares. Unless you got the headlight systems with the car, consider a factory (uses GM parts) road race headlight system.

Good luck on your project, it sure looks fun.

IMO:
Step one, Make it drivable and street legal. That way you can at least drive it, enjoy it!

Too many home projects get out of hand quickly, than 8 years later..the car might be street legal. Personal experience on this one.

Great starting point

Inspiration that started this project. Daytona Turkey Run this week end. Hopefully some miscellaneous parts follow me home.

I will be down sizing rear flares. Pics are with 275 40 18. I am thinking 275 70 18 for rears

Funky bolts and washers for spring need to be replaced.

if you pull that tube spacer below the spring and reassemble without it, it will sit nicer in the rear
