I've done paint and body for 40 years. How long have you been trying to adjust these gaps?
If I was doing this car, I'd be looking deeper than just the gaps. I'd be looking at the mounting points. I'd check underside of the fiberglass for repairs. I'd be investigating to find out why it's like that.
Right mid to lower gap good and even
This is roughly my 25th corvette that I have worked on an I have check to see if any front damage but appears to be all original and just wondering since both side are same and rest of gaps are fine it may be the way it came
Thanks

Reason: Add picture
Hi Wes,
I see what you're talking about.
What are the rest of the door gaps like? Front/back, top to bottom.
I forget… is this a coupe or convertible?
Maybe a couple of overall pictures from each side?
Regards,
Alan

Hi wes,
Is the narrow gap at the lower rear due to how the door is hung or does it have something to do with the flare body work?
I think you're going to want to talk to DUB.

Alan

Hi Wes, hope your doing well. I think it would be better if you had the car on it's tires. As close as it would be on the road and then do the gaps. Vpa should be applied to the clip and or split the difference between the door and fender, depending on what you see at that time. I guess I would second ZWede
Just saying

Hi Wes. It definitely didn't come like that. I'm thinking you have sag on the nose from sitting on the dolly. Have you checked the bonding of the fenders? On my 69 the gaps are pretty well even all the way around the doors. Can you try lifting the nose just a small amount to see if the gap closes some?

Yes I have the nose supported and moving it doesn't help so looks like I will have to do some fiberglass and fill work.
Thanks
Wes
Maybe DUB will chim in.He explained to me exactly how to fix gaps like that.I did my drivers side and came out great and not hard to do. Its actually very ingenuis. Vette Panel Adhesive/tape and razor is the ticket .

YEP...this is not going to be a problem to close up and get the gap correct. VPA will be able to do this...because I would if your car were in my shop and not think twice about it.
You may want to call me again before you begin...becasue NOW I can see what you called me about....and I want make sure you prep it correctly before you start. And the prep is not making sure the fiberglass is ground on and clean...but rather HOW you grind it is what matters here.
Once again...it is up to you but it might be in your best interests to give me a ring again. This call will not last long.
