Might there be a real paper copy of the build sheet somewhere else in the car?

I'm unsure if carbon paper was used between each sheet or if the paper was impregnated with carbon to make the copies.
It's some of those additional copies that are occasionally found elsewhere on some cars.

Maybe, but there are no guarantees. Owners have reported finding copies of the build sheet behind the speedo/tach, tucked in the wiring behind the center cluster, behind either kick panel, tucked in the springs under a seat, and beneath the carpet in the rear storage area. Later cars (78 or so) have had copies folded and tucked between the rear spring and spring mount.
