Default Another name that part!

Found this tag stuck underneath the driver seat not attached just stuck. I have a 77 and the seats appear to be original but they have stickers on them that say 74 to 76. Can anyone tell me for 76. Can anyone tell me what this tag is for and where is it supposed to be attached?

Hi,
Seats typically had the metal tag you show and it was typically attached to one of the seat bottom springs.
Regards,
Alan

A part number and a Julian date? 348th day of 1970 for a car assembled the middle of January 1971.

Hi,
Perhaps you could put it back on one of the springs.

Alan

Those seats are trashed out pretty bad so I bought a set of seats for a 79 ! Found the tag stuck to the foam under the drivers seat measuring the seat tracks to see if mine were the same as the ones on the 79 ! Found out I have to use my seat tracks !

Found these here on corvetteforum !!

That's usually the case with later seats in earlier cars. Use your seats on the later seats.

Glad to see someone bought them. I almost did but didn't because I'd have to change the color to Dark Saddle. Enjoy them.

My interior color from the factory was red ,exterior is black! I think they will work just fine even if some of the interior stays red . I'm glad you changed your mind on them cause my originals look like only the bottoms could have been used and they would need recovering and new foam ! Hope you find a set that will work for you !
