Default Heater Control Thumbwheel Help Needed

I'm restoring my heater control face panel assembly and all I need are some new thumbwheels. Mine got messed up with someone's unrefined skills using some gray primer and they got overspray on them. I would paint them but not sure how well Fusion paint would last regarding wear and touching. Anyone know how to fix my original or buy new wheels? I know about the kit for $90 but would like to avoid a whole kit.

Hi JU,
You might consider removing the paint with a citrus based paint stripper.
Then polishing the wheels with plastic polish helps bring back the black color.
Worth a try?
Regards,
Alan

I can try but if it doesn't work I'll have to resort to the rebuild kit option.

Just figured out its not grey primer...its just lost its black color. I applied SEMS Black Trim paint for now and see how it goes. No hope for ABS when the color is lost.

SEM should do the job. If the wheels were really clean, that stuff will stay on forever.
