Put the car in the garage end of October did nothing to it other then fill gas tank . Temperature this last year got down to the 20s below . Went to start it yesterday checked the fluid levels first , only power steering was low saw a spot on the floor under it added some fluid .Cranked it over a couple times not trying to start it . Pumped the gas twice put a squirt of starting fluid in , it started right up on first couple cranks . Took it out for about a 10 mile run other then a brake hanging up which went back to normal after I stomped on them a couple times it was like the day I put it away . Other then a few mice found there way in which has always been a pain .
Right on, go enjoy it
some on the web will have you thinking you have to do all kinds of crazy procedures prior to starting
Mines been down yr maybe yr and a half...going to put fresh gas in it new batttery turn the key nothing else needed

i placed a few small tins under the car with moth ***** as well as a ball at each wheel. And i put one small container on the front floor as well as the rear area. Not one sign of mice.
My buddy says they make a small packet of stuff they sell at farm stores that is supposed to work but not smell like the moth *****. I havent found that yet. My car takes more cranking as the fuel line drains down pretty far.
I have lived upnorth for 23 years ( its snowing as I write ). Part of our business is a small gas station . The gas I sell doesn't have any ethanol in it . I have a boat, 4 wheeler , generator , log splitter , lawn mower, chainsaw , that all set for 6 months . Other then charging up the batteries on some of them , and making sure the gas tanks are full when I stop using them for the winter . I have hardly ever had a problem starting them in the spring . One of my customers uses city gas with ethanol and has problems every year on start up , but he refuses to pay the extra 20 cents for my gas .

In Canada, Petrocanada, Esso, and Ultramar all use 91 octane non-ethanol fuel. And I use it. No problem in the spring. Just came home last Tuesday after six months in storage. Nice purr to the engine.
