vent control pictures
Images of vent control disassembly (1968), perhaps will be helpful for someone else rebuilding their vent control unit.
Appears that some of our parts were broken, why our L thumb roller was malfunctioning.
Plan to order rebuild kit from Wilcox. Will update as we rebuild.

Here is a pdf of how to rebuild the unit. If you get the control assembly or if you decide to fix the one you have.. I've got plenty of the small parts for the control. https://willcoxcorvette.com/catalogs...c_part_year=18

New parts!
Back in town after moving Mom to FL.
Wilcox parts came in. Will document rebuild of vent controls. Looks sooooo much better than the filthy parts I started with. Will
function now too hopefully.

I might add...that I have run into issues with these kits. Not often...but I have.
The issue that I have run into is how the cord that moves the indicator needle. The cord will either come off due to the indicator needle breaking. Or the cord slides easily though the caging area of the indicator needle. ...thus causing the needle to now be 'out of time' with the roller wheel and other components.
What I do it put a small dab of crazy glue where the cord is caged into the indicator.

I took a picture using a large magnifying glass. I put the rollers all the way to HOT and DE ICE to see where I think you are referring to.
