I dont know about where you live, but there are places that sell used autoglass. Its usually cheaper. I havent had to find one for an old corvette, but the shops might be able to track one down. Or if someone is parting out a car on craigslist they can go pull it and install it on yours.
Finding a NOS windshield would probably be hard to do... You can get the correct marked windshields (we carry them) but it won't matter where you get the glass it will not be as thick as the original glass. Also beware that your local glass shops will probably not be aware of this issue so if you have them do the install you might discuss the thickness issues before they install. The cheapest way out for you would be to just contact a local glass company since the shipping on the dated windshields is a bit pricey.
