Default 75 fuel tank

Hey guys we are at the point where all the hoses are connected to the tank, now we are trying to get it up there so we can connect it with the straps. Does anyone know how to clip them on the tank?

Thanks

Hi T,
The tank straps first hook through the bolt-in-place tank crossmember the front of the tank sits on, and then after the strap is passed over the tank towards the rear of the car, the other end of the strap with the nut on it is pulled down snug toward the rear crossmember using bolts that pass through holes in the crossmember. The straps aren't fastened to the tank at all, the straps 'trap' it in place when they're tightened.
Look at UPC A8, Sheet 2 in you AIM. The connections are shown in 2 details on that sheet.
Regards,
Alan

Here is the installation page from the assembly manual for 1975-1977. Hope this helps.

Not really.. just a bunch of grunting if you are doing it on the ground. If you have a lift, we use a transmission jack to push the tank into place.
