Help identifying under dash switch
Could anyone identify this switch?
68 convertible automatic.
It looks attached to the top of the accelerator bracket
My first thought was a tranny kick down switch, but see no mention of that in wiring diagram or AIM
Thank you!

I dont think my th350 had any electric kick down switches just the vacuum switch.
the purple and orange colors on wires are key to deciphering this. let me look at a wiring diagram.
isnt there a switch that stops the car from starting in gear???? this is ringing a bell

just pink....no black stripe...
and the orange.
I'll get a picture showing more of the "left" side
the dangling end of the pink wire is hanging down with the rest of
the console/center gauge cluster wiring..... I've identified all but
this and one brown 12/14 ga wire
fixing multiple Bubba's work....

Looks like the trans kick-down switch. Might have been grafted over to the '68 from a later model C3.

Kick-down switch. It connects to the Tranny (out the firewall) and NSS (shifter assembly). The AIM does not do a good job showing the automatic assembly of this - of course my knowledge of this is with a 69' but it looks to be the same. My 2cts.
